Response to COVID-19

May 1, 2020

Dear members, friends and visitors,

Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Los Gatos during this time of physical distance. We are complying with California’s Shelter-In-Place Order while we continue to provide support as a spiritual community.

Our minister Rev. Fa Jun and music director Dave Coldren, with support from staff and volunteers, began videoconferencing services on Sunday, March 15, for congregants to safely participate from home. Keenly aware of the “interdependent web of all existence,” a cornerstone of Unitarian Universalism, we will continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 through this and other measures.

UUFLG offers many ways to connect that comply with the mitigation orders. Pastoral support, small-group ministry, meditative and movement practices, social activities, service opportunities, and educational resources, in addition to Sunday worship, are available via the internet and phone.

We can even make our mark in person during this time. In recognition of Earth Day, we have hung a banner on our church to invoke the spirit of community, and we invite all who subscribe to being part of a greater good, including children, to come by anytime to sign it.

Whether you are a new friend or long-time affiliate, please take part in the community that is the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Los Gatos, now as always.

Our email lists, Facebook page, website, and calendar will connect you to all that is happening in the UUFLG family.

May we inspire and support each other in innovative ways even as we remain together, apart.

In fellowship,
Board of Trustees, UUFLG
