Administration & Governance

Unitarian Universalists have long governed on a congregational polity model, wherein the members are actively and openly engaged in the decisions and administration of their respective congregation. Our members are responsible for policy directions, hire our minister and staff, decide the annual budget based on pledges and other contributions, plan the day-to-day activities, and decide on the community social and environmental programs to support.

We also understand that we are a human endeavor, constantly learning:  honoring history, taking risks, and endorsing flexibility and creativity.  We ponder the “what ifs,” experiment, and give ourselves space to make mistakes. Through all the ups and downs, we remain committed to building a better, more beloved community.
